Show Synopsis
Over the first 13 episodes Riaan Garforth-Venter and Patrick Shai will show viewers around the country how to convert a 1941 Chevy Coupe into a street rod from discarded pieces of scrap metal, while they also test drive the best of the best engines in super-cars on offer today as well as meet some very interesting car enthusiasts and their petrol-passion!
Hot Rodding has enjoyed resurgence in the last couple of years, and our 41' Chevy will be dressed over the course of 13 weeks in the finest of billet wheels, custom paint jobs, and old-school whitewall tires. Riaan and Patrick will work with the team of STREET ROD FACTORY to ensure that this Chevy will be road savvy in no time!

THE VISION
The launch of this exciting new television series sees Riaan Garforth-Venter and Patrick Shai arriving at STREET ROD FACTORY where master mechanic and rod builder, Ettiene Bothma will start the transformation process of their beloved 1941 Chevrolet Master Deluxe into a customized street rod. GETTING STARTED / THE STRIP
Riaan is invited to Las Vegas, to be an international new product judge at the world famous automotive show, SEMA. But before he gets to walk on ‘the Strip’ the guys in the workshop start to strip the car. In the spirit of the stripes and starts, we meet Andre van Rooyen and his passion for Roadhouse-classic American convertibles before we triumphantly enjoying a classic cruise with Stu in a Truimph TR3.

BLAST FROM THE PAST
With the car stripped, and all removable parts removed, the next step in the rebuilding process is ofcourse to blast away the past! After mixing it up with some international automotive celeb’s like Ryan Friedlinghaus from West Coast Customs, the Foose and Mr. Meguiar himself at SEMA, Riaan is back and full of ideas for the Chevy. Pat meets the Deuce and super-spy Johnston, Stuart Johnston is bonding with the Lotus Espirit.

RUST IN PATIENCE
Patience makes the heart grows fonder… and at this rate of cutting rust and doing body modifications, Riaan will be head over wheels with his Chevy! No wonder he started to strip the engine and ended up having a big block ball of a time! Pat & Joe is amazed to find a car that does ‘push up’s’ … but after putting in 16 years of love labour into this remarkable 1949 Mercury, one almost expects the car to cook, clean and converse as well! The Lamborghini Jalba leaves Stu with some mixed feelings… but we understand… it’s hard to practice patience in such a super classic car!

SUSPENSE IN THE TAILLIGHT SAGA
If there is one thing Ettiene Spanner Botma firmly believes, it is that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing it well. Especially when it comes to the suspension but the seeing believes, so let Omar the suspension expert entertain you! This week Gasket Venter finally takes on Spanner Botma as they settle the taillight saga … In the WHEELS OF FAME insert, Joe and Pat meet a quaint little car or rod or SUV… you decide… Stu enjoys the finest of German engineering behind the wheel of a Porsche 365. An episode not to be missed!
