17 & 18 July The new season gets underway with the first look at Peter’s new project, a 1970 GTO Judge convertible. Meanwhile Tom takes a few DCG fans for a lap in the Lamborghini Gallardo. The Satisfied GranSport Challenge is off and running as the ’66 and ’89 Mustangs are unveiled, we visit Mid-America Motorworks to get the first look at our Corvette C4 project car and Peter takes a ride in the Penske Camaro Trans Am car. Don’t miss the Superformance race to Watkins Glen.
24 & 25 July Work begins on the GTO with a chemical stripping of the hood. Tom and Peter switch places this week. Peter drives the Modern Dream Car a Ferrari F40, while Tom gets in touch with his inner Elvis behind the wheel of the Stutz Blackhawk Prototype. In the Satisfied GranSport Challenge, the 89 Mustang’s body gets some work and the ’66 suspension gets a hand as we hook it up with A arms. Our C4 project car begins from the pavement up with a new wheel and tire package.
31 July & 01 August The GTO restoration picks up steam with quarter panel and door gap work, while Tom drives a custom SC430 for this installment of the Modern Dream Car. The GranSport Mustang challenge continues with the ’89 getting parts stripped off and the ’66 receives shocks and sway bars. Our Corvette C4 project continues with a look at suspension upgrades. Peter drives a 1948 Tucker.
07 & 08 August Peter continues his work on the GTO’s body with a session of body prep. The Modern Dream Car is a Superformance Mark III pace car. Peter returns to the muscle car era in a 1969 Chevelle SS. The Chevelle is a rare 300 Deluxe coupe with the L78 375 HP 396, four speed and chambered exhaust. The ’89 Mustang sees its frame stiffened, while the ’66 tries on a new set of leaf springs. The Corvette exhales through a new exhaust. Tour of the Mid America Motorworks factory.
14 & 15 August The GTO gets a nose job from Dr. Peter Klutt, while Tom pilots an Audi S4 Avant. The Satisfied GranSport Challenge continues with the ’89 getting engine and exhaust attention and the ’66 receiving a stiffer frame. The C4 motors on and stops with a new set of brakes and a 1953 Ferrari Arbath is Peter’s pick as Vintage Dream Car.
21 & 22 August Tom has his hands full with the new Hemi 300 C. Peter explains why you need more than one shade of black to correctly restore a GTO. The GranSport Mustangs continue their build to be the best with the ’89 Stang’s transmission and rear end getting worked on. The Mid America crew starts bolting on performance parts on the C4 Project car. Peter flexes some muscle in his Vintage Dream Car, a big block 1969 Nova.
28 & 29 August We’re back in the Pro Shop with the GTO restoration and the body is getting its color...and what a color it is! Tom takes a look into what all the rappers are talking about theses days as he rides in a 745i. Peter goes back to the past as he examines a historic Lister Jaguar. We are back for a follow up tour of Mid America Motorworks while the C4 project car receives a well deserved tune up after fifteen years on the road.
04 & 05 September Peter gets dirty with the GTO’s driveline and engine, while Tom’s dream of being David Hasslehoff is realized as he gets introduced to Kit, the Knight Rider car. This week’s Vintage Dream Car is a Ferrari Dino and a unique car hauler. The e Mid America Motorworks Corvette C4 gets an infusion of new vital fluids.
11 & 12 September Tom squeeeeezes into a Superformance coupe. Peter’s Vintage Dream Car is a 1930 V16 Cadillac. In this episode of the Mid America Motorworks build up we take a close look at the C4’s ZF 6-speed transmission, replace the clutch and add a Hurst shifter.
18 & 19 September Peter goes vintage, Italian style, in a 1957 Ferrari 500 TC. Tom gets behind the wheel of a Rathman supercharged Avalanche. The Corvette C4 project car gets a serious interior upgrade with custom leather seats, headliner and carpets. Plus more Superformance fun.
25 & 26 September The GTO Judge gets a new interior. Tom’s Modern Dream Car is a Touareg V10 TDI. Work continues on the Satisfied GranSport Challenge Mustangs. The Mid America Motorworks crew installs a front spoiler and tries on a rear wing. Some tips on keeping your Corvette looking its best.
02 & 03 October Tom and Peter journey south to attend the Year One Commerce Challenge. Dyno tuning time for the C4 project car in preparation for its full road test. Lincoln Electric factory tour. Tom experiences cockpit shrinkage again as he drives the Allard J2X continuation on the track.
09 & 10 October The big day has finally arrived, Tom and Peter go head to head with their Mustang projects…let the best cheater win. Here come da Judge…the GTO restoration in unveiled in all its Orbit Orange glory. The Mid America Motorworks C4 Corvette gets a thorough road test by Tom. We continue with the Corvette theme as this episode’s Modern Dream Car is special prepared C6.
